Ayurveda is an ancient, effective approach to wellness and health. Its basic principle is that health lies within the balance of mind, body, and spirit. Optimal balance is achieved through conscious choice of lifestyle, nutrition and maintaining your natural constitution.

In Ayurvedic notion, your constitution is a blend of elemental energies that combine to form your Doshas.

Panchmahabhutas-five elements of nature-Ayurveda

The most healthy constitution is achieved by harmonising Prakruti and Vikruti.

Prakruti is your unique, natural blend of Doshas at birth. Vikruti is your current composition of the Doshas. A person’s Vikruti can become impure due to external factors, such as unhealthy food, bad eating habits, irregular sleep patterns, lack of mental activity, stress, workload, excessive exercise, negative and strong emotions like anger, hatred, jealousy and so on.

The bigger the gap between your Prakruti and Vikruti, the more you are prone to health issues, such as: hypertension, constipation, weight gain/loss, weakness, arthritis, insomnia, dehydration, depression, sexual problems etc.

The most important factor in purifying your Vikruti is diet and ingredients. The way your food is prepared also plays an important role, especially the utensils used for cooking.

Which vessel is better?

Following the ayurvedic approach, the use of clay, bronze and copper utensils are suggested. However, we recommend you to use the clay utensils as they are Dosha and eco friendly. Additionally clay leaches healthy nutrients into your meals. Learn more about the benefits of clay utensils in our Web shop.
